Halfsister Berlin
The deadline for submission is December 1, 2026.
Since the opening of Halfsister in November 2022, our name has been the center of many questions and compliments.
We opened the space as half-sisters, Sophia and Ana Tabatadze. Due to our name, many artists have mentioned their works that deal with the theme of sisterhood. Therefore, we decided to call for visual or text-based art in any medium focused on sisters, sisterhood, and kinship.
Halfsister has always been a place where FLINTA visitors have said they felt safe and comfortable expressing themselves. During this exhibition, we hope to encourage dialogue about Sisterhood.
We are calling for Berlin-based artists (to minimize shipping costs) to contribute works that deal with the theme of sisterhood or kinship. Due to the space’s size restriction the maximum size of works is 1 meter by 1 meter.

For application email your works to halfsisterberlin@gmail.com along with a short artist statement, the subject line should be titled Open Call.
The exhibition is planned for March 2027.
